A path is a set of one or more meters that need to be read. A reader can be assigned to a single route, many routes, or none at all Automatically where the routes and the order of meters to be read depends on the sequence is established by adding devices or meters, at the time that is to be read meters the PDA will follow the sequence to read the meters according to the established order. Manually, you can select any meter you want on the PDA to call, as long as the meter is added in the manual route.

The PrimePDA Web Service allows the remote handheld or PDA device to communicate remotely to the PrimeRead ES database server. It was envisioned and developed for geographically dispersed utilities that may have meters read by meter readers that could be several hundred miles from the central office or the meter data collection department. PrimePDA via de Web Service application allows remote management of the meter readers, PDA’s and Routes. The Web Services allow the meter reader to synchronize using any public or private internet access point, wired or wireless.
