PRIMESTONE is a technology-based company founded in 1990 with only one business activity, development of automatic meter reading software (AMRS). 

In the early 90's PRIMESTONE was an electronic meter dealer for several countries in Latin America. Soon, several meter clients began inquiring for an application for automatically collecting their data. So, by 1994 PRIMESTONE began developing SADE, an AMRS. Among the pioneers in power deregulation, the Colombian energy market began evolving quickly to stimulate competition seeking a more dynamic scenario. Utilities and major clients had an increasing need to collect meter data with an affordable, well supported application. This boosted the application into what it is today PrimeRead ES, a multi-vendor, multi-network easy-to-use, well supported and affordable meter reading software installed in many countries.
